Dr. Rola Kaakeh

Dr. Rola Kaakeh is a healthcare advisor and fellowship-trained pharmacist with 17+ years of experience in various settings (health systems, industry, higher education). She has taught at multiple institutions, including the University of Michigan, Northwestern University, University of California San Diego, among others. She currently serves at the CEO of Salus Vitae Group. She specialize in global pharmaceutical and health system development, covering topics such as medication access, healthcare decision-making, capacity building, and cost-containment strategies. She advises organizations globally on health system development and engage with various institutions within the public and private sectors, non-governmental agencies such as the United Nations, universities, startups, and professional associations.
She is the author of the book “The Art of Pharmacoeconomics: A Guide to Getting Started,” which has been used in numerous pharmacy, public health, medicine, health sciences, and business schools across the globe. She has authored several impactful publications, presented on prominent global stages, and received numerous awards. She started university at the age of 10 as a gifted child and moved on to become one of the youngest pharmacists in the world. She received my Doctorate in Pharmacy with a minor in organizational leadership degrees from Purdue University and completed a Post-Doctoral Fellowship in Pharmaceutical Outcomes and Health Services Research from the University of Michigan School of Public Health, College of Pharmacy, and the School of Medicine. In addition, she hold several healthcare licenses and certifications.
